for FRIDA
2 days can be enough to meet intensely before tour/performance
propose 6 women to join in Balkans (Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina)
also bring workshops with local women in Balkans/ make it more interactive
make a program
car we rent ourselves to join the caravan: who drives? Senem’s driving license is valid for one month in Europe, ask Clara about accommodation in Balkans, food/gas
talk to Hrant Dink foundation about more to fund Balkan initiative
larger vision:
to do:
Senem: Heinrich Boell final report
Milena: final report December
find money for tour-feminist caravan –> ask Hrant Dink, maybe Senem comes to Ankara, take their contacts and Senem can be the Turkey communication
Milena: propose to whole group about April/Balkans feminist caravan, 2 day preparation, it will last for one week at least, no solo
Milena: find all evaluations and put in one folder
do we want to meet with women only doing work in our field? theater? peace? etc. etc.
also when we say women project we mean from the experience of woman
future dreams: to build a group of women healers to go in post-conflict areas and work, to be a model for women in such areas, they may b triggered to build more teams like this, making bigger meetings for the next years, it does not seem very real (it can’t be 30 or 40 people)…so what can we do? train people? create a manual about how to? share our experience with men for example who want to do similar projects…the method of healing ourselves
for documentary: can we make quality a bit better for the big screen?
to add more of a story: it should be casual, adding some parts
include photos:
Who are we?
We are a group of young women from Turkey and Armenia working together to build solidarity and peace through non-verbal communication, storytelling and performance art.
July 2013: 1st meeting in the village Şirince, Turkey
10 participants from Armenia and Turkey lived, worked and collaborated for 10 days.
A bilingual performance about sexuality stories of women was formed using oral history methods.
put Elvira and Aysegul’s performance for the ending…and the ending, dance + singing in the end.
Art Lab performance separate?
scenes from dinners and breakfasts? capture more of the living together?
we need more of the story: for people who don’t know the story
include final version of the flying carpet at the end of the workshop…our colored faces painted by Defne…include dancing in the rain? how to?
by Dec. 5th
subtitles are too small to read? not the ones in the images…there is a black line
we also need texts in between workshops, to explain what its about…
for example, Kara’s workshop: these envelopes were hung on the doors for participants to give gifts to each other
integrated security workshop: we talked about self-care, fears and threats, and strategies to overcome these… our sensations and thoughts, expectations…etc.
texts about workshops one from beginning one from end
